Chelly Clark is a sweet and spicy, thoroughbred drug-dealing baddie from the DMV. Known for pushing tons of marijuana across the country, Chelly expanded her hustle during the pandemic, merging lanes and eventually transitioning into higher-stakes deals. She reconnected with a long-time plug to purchase a kilo of cocaine and asked her boyfriend to ride with her as backup. As they headed home, police were seen searching another car nearby but Chelly thought nothing of it until she noticed flashing lights in her rear view.

Moments later, both she and her boyfriend were arrested. At the Alexandria Detention Center, Chelly learned she was pregnant. Due to her criminal history, she would normally have been held without bond, but the county jail could not accommodate pregnant inmates- so she was released to complete her pregnancy and deliver her baby.

On February 4, 2022, Chelly was sentenced to 60 months in federal prison for intent to distribute 1 to 3 kilos of heroin. Her boyfriend received 36 months just for being present. Unbeknownst to Chelly, her connect had been compromised and was tampering with product to reduce his own sentence. Her phone coll to him had been monitored, and prosecutors used it to prove her intent, which ultimately determined her sentence. Though she took accountability for her actions, leaving her one-year-old son proved to be the hardest part of it all.

On September 26, 2022, Chelly had to kiss all three of her sons goodbye closing the door as her baby screamed for her.

Knowing she wouldn’t be back for years was devastating, but with her pride set aside and her heart heavy, Chelly drove with family to West Virginia to surrender herself at Alderson Federal Prison Camp.
